Colleen Kelly

Colleen Kelly’s passion is people. In particular, Colleen is focused on strategic people engagement and building abundant not-for-profits. In 2005, Colleen introduced a paradigm shift to the voluntary sector by coining the term “people lens.” Leaders can increase their impact exponentially by shifting their focus away from money (because there will never be enough!).

A facilitator, instructor, leader, international speaker, and now, an author, Colleen’s background includes 30 years of working in the not-for-profit sector, and contributing her time and talent as a people engagement expert for numerous community boards. Colleen served as a member of the Sector Steering Committee of the Voluntary Sector Initiative and was the Co-chair of the National Volunteerism Initiative Table. She was also on the committee that tackled Society Act reform in British Columbia, Canada.

Colleen Kelly is the former executive director of Vantage Point, a role she held since 1999. She is the mother of four and grandmother of five. Colleen and her husband live (without the children or grandchildren!) in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
