VOLUNTEER ACTION COUNCIL
VAC serves volunteer managers of the Fox Cities which includes Appleton and surrounding municipalities. Monthly meetings include networking, speakers or round table discussions. VAC meets at member agencies on the 3rd Thursday of the month 11:30 --1 pm. VAC sponsors two joint volunteer trainings for all member agencies and an annual volunteer recognition luncheon in April. VAC is an affiliate of WVCA.

WVCA (Wisconsin Volunteer Coordinators
Association)
WVCA is a professional statewide organization advocating
for volunteerism through support, resources and educational development.
WVCA was founded in 1973 to create a statewide network for administrators
of volunteers. The association provides annual volunteer management
training as the sponsor of the Wisconsin Volunteer Coordinators Training
Institute Conference each spring. The board meets at regular intervals
to share experiences, exchange ideas and deal with issues of mutual
concerns. General membership meetings are held annually at the WVCTI
Conference. Once a member in WVCA you will receive the annual WVCA
membership directory, the Connection newsletter, and an opportuntiy
to apply for educational grant dollars that can be used for training/workshops
or conferences.

Serving Portage County Wisconsin - Portage County Association
of Volunteer Administrators
Meeting held monthly September through May on the third Tuesday
of the month from noon to 1:30. Informal structure includes agency
updates followed by discussion of some volunteer managmemt issue lead
by a member.

WADVS (Wisconsin Association of Directors of Volunteer Services)
WADVS is a professional state organziation for directors and other
employed leaders of volunteer services in healthcare facilities. The
purpose of WADVS is to develop and maintain standards and guidelines
for quality-based volunteer services administration; and provide educational
programming and informational resources to meet the needs of the professionals
responsible for volunteer services administration within healthcare
facilities. WADVS Board and General Membership Meeings are held twice
a year in conjunction with the Spring and Fall State Conferences.
The frequency of Regional meetings varies throughout the state. A
state newsletter is mailed quarterly to all members.

at Diocese of Green Bay, 1825 Riverside Dr., Room #39 in lower level.
Lunch available from 11:30 - 12:00 in cafeteria. Meeting from 12:00

Serves Northern Illinois and Southern Wisconsin - NISWAVA
NISWAVA meets the second Thursday of each month at the Holiday
Inn in South Beloit. Breakfast is from 7:30 a.m. to 8:15 a.m. Program
is from 8:15-8:45 a.m. and a short business meeting takes place from
8:45-9:00 a.m. The group does not meet in July, August, December,
or April. April is reserved for a volunteer recognition luncheon put
on by the organization.
