AVRBC is a provicial association of directors, managers, coordinators trainers, consultants and administrators of volunteers, we have members in various segments of the sector. We are currently (Jan 2001) working with Volunteer BC (Volunteer Centres association), CAVR (Canadian Administrators of Volunteer Resources) and our provincial government ministry of volunteers on projects to promote excellence in Volunteer Administration, IYV , Volunteer Centres and to strengthen and enhance the capacity of the volunteer sector in BC. We have members that meet regularly in Vancouver, Victora and Kelowna, and recently gained new members in the Caribou, North Vancouver Island, Kootenay and Thompson regions of the province. We hold a conference & AGM every 2 years (2002)and an AGM with workshop on the alternate years.
