What's a "Hot Topic"?

Volunteerism is a complex subject, too often treated simplistically by politicians, the media, and even agency executives. In this "hot topic" feature of the Energize Web site, we focus on one current or controversial each month. If you have a hot topic suggestion, contact us.

Our goal is to stimulate thoughtful--and hopefully useful--discussion on these topics. Susan Ellis will begin the dialogue with an opening commentary on the month's topic. Then you can read responses posted by previous Web site visitors and, then, add YOUR thoughts to the mix! Return during the month to see what folks thought of your comments and to read other points raised.

We will change the topic on the first of every month and will "archive" all the discussions for future reference. This means that you will be able to access an expanding record of the thoughts of the field on subjects that are important to us all.
